24/05/2010 A new location for MIGMore than two hundred people attended on the 15th of May 2010 the opening of the new location of the Italian Museum of Cast Iron [Museo Italiano della Ghisa], that was made out of a large industrial building where the traces of the production it was destined to - it is about the former painting plant - have been preserved deliberately. The over 150 exhibited pieces were the protagonists of an event that earned success and approbation by the audience. The showing of a series of vintage postcards accompanied by a selection of classical music pieces played live contributed to recreate the old times’ atmospheres the postcards on display just evoked. As for Neri the opening of the new Italian Museum of Cast Iron is another important step of a process of investments in culture the company began since the 80s, contributing to save and let people know an artistic/industrial expression that deeply influenced the image and development of our towns. A message that also wants to underline how the attention to the beautiful and the quality of life in planning the towns’ development is important still today.
