The splendor of the neoclassical rooms in the Schusev State Museum of Architecture (MUAR) and the enchanting decadence of the adjacent ‘ruina’ are the setting of the Russian stage of the traveling exhibition of the Targetti Light Art Collection.
The light works traveled to Russia over land, via Finland, to arrive in this precious Museum a few steps from the Kremlin.
The curator Amnon Barzel worked in close cooperation with David Sarkisian, the eclectic director of the Museum, who invited to be part of the exhibition two architects used to work constantly looking at the most innovative trends of contemporary art: Andei Savin and Alexander Brodsky, protagonist of the Russian pavilion at the Venice Biennale.
A catalogue (Russian/English) tells this exciting partnership.
